Mike Guillen is an award-winning art director and visual storyteller with more than two decades of experience shaping bold, impactful design across print, digital, social, experiential, and editorial platforms. Originally from East Chicago, Indiana, Mike cut his teeth in fast-paced newsrooms before rising through the ranks at some of the most respected publications in the country. He’s held senior creative roles at the New York Post, The Tampa Bay Times, The Oregonian, and The Star-Ledger, where he led teams and crafted high-stakes visual narratives on everything from breaking news to major cultural moments. His work has appeared on front pages, across subway platforms, and in the hands of millions. Equally fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Figma, and emerging digital tools, Mike blends design intuition with strategic thinking. He’s not just here to make things look good, he solves problems. Whether building visual systems for brand campaigns, streamlining graphic workflows, or leading creative direction under pressure, Mike brings clarity, cohesion, and punch to every project. He’s collaborative, curious, and relentless about elevating the work.
